Summer
weeks of September 22 & 29, 2025
Hello All,
During this first week the sixth and fifth graders will be utilizing the engineering design process. The students will complete these steps as they complete several challenges. Assessments will be given to determine their understanding.
The second week the sixth graders will begin their study of soil. The topics that they will focus on is soil formation and properties. They will be heading outside to create a soil quadrant where they focus their study of these properties.
The second week the fifth graders will begin their study of ecosystems. The topics will focus on components of an ecosystem. They will be applying their understanding of the key vocabulary as we complete activities. Assessments will be given to determine their level of understanding of these concepts.
