Hello All,

Week of September 18

The sixth graders will be focusing on the steps of the engineering design process.  We will monitoring our pea plant growth.  Also the students will complete several challenges as they follow the engineering design steps.   

​

 The fifth graders will be focusing on the steps of the engineering design process too.  We will monitor our pea plants growth.  Then later in the week they will complete several challenges to follow these steps. 

​

Week of September 25

The sixth graders will be focusing on the formation of soil.  We will discuss the different colors and textures of soil.  Weather provided we will plot areas of soil outside where we will complete the soil tests.  We will continue to update our pea chart and graph the data.

​

The fifth graders also be updating their pea chart and graphing the data.  Then we will be discussing the components and role of organisms in all ecosystems.  We will be utilizing the environmental lab and other areas around the school building.
